
Our client is a Sydney-based logistics automation specialist, renowned for the design and delivery of complex material-handling systems, utilising advanced simulation and digital modelling. As they continue to grow, they are looking for a high performer to join their team for an initial 6-month engagement.
The Role
The Simulation Software Engineer will support the development and maintenance of existing simulation software platforms used to validate multi-million dollar logistics automation / material handling systems.
Reporting directly to the Project Director, you will develop c# simulation controllers and software frameworks and collaborate closely with engineering teams to ensure simulation models accurately represent real-world system behaviour. Specifically, you will:
- design c# simulation controllers to model automated MHS systems for high-profile domestic and international projects.
- develop reusable controller frameworks that replicate automation control logic within their existing simulation software platform.
- implement robust object-oriented software solutions using the .net framework.
- support engineering teams in analysing system behaviour and throughput through simulation.
- manage development work within sprint cycles to maintain project milestones.
About You
To thrive in this role, you should bring a strong background in object-oriented development and a desire to see your code interact with the physical world. You have:
- a degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field.
- strong experience developing software applications in c# using the .net framework.
- experience designing and implementing object-oriented software architectures.
- proficiency with debugging, performance optimisation and unit testing within the .net ecosystem.
- the ability to work with a minimum of supervision in a hybrid environment (office, on-site, and remote).
- existing working rights for Australia
Highly advantageous / Not essential
- experience with Simio, Emulate3d, digital twins.
- experience in intralogistics / BHS or similar industries.
